WACO, Texas Rounding out the regular season, the No. 13 Oklahoma volleyball team finished on a high note as it extended its winning streak to six straight with a 3-1 (30-19, 28-30, 30-24, 30-16) win over Baylor Saturday night in Waco. 

With the win, Oklahoma finishes the season in sole possession of second place in the Big 12 standings behind Nebraska, the No. 1 team in the country.  The Sooners have had a record-breaking season as they finished with a 17-3 Big 12 mark, their best in conference history, and also own the school's highest winning percentage as they finished the regular season with a 26-5 record.

The Sooner offense got Oklahoma going as setter Rachel Jackson led the OU to a .278 hitting percentage while contributing 55 assists.

Senior outside hitter Joanna Schmitt paced the way for the offense as she matched her season high with 26 kills on a .317 hitting percentage while notching her 19th double-double of the season with 13 digs.

In addition to Schmitt, Oklahoma had three other Sooners record double-digit kills as senior Laura Tomes recorded 13 kills on a .296 hitting percentage and freshman Bridget Laplante also pounded 13 kills.  Junior  Sarah Weiland recorded a .333 hitting percentage while also contributing 11 kills.

Defensively, the Sooners tallied 11 team blocks behind the play of Eliane Santos and Jackson.  Santos, the league's top solo blocker, recorded a team-high six block assists while Jackson added one solo and four block assists. 

In the back row, Oklahoma out dug Baylor, 65-59.  In addition to Schmitt's 13 digs, libero Anna Monsen and Jackson added 13 each as well.

The Sooners ended their regular season tonight, but will find out their postseason fate on Sunday.  Oklahoma will be aiming for its fourth trip in history to the NCAA Tournament and first since 1997 as the 64-team field is announced on ESPNews at 2 p.m. Sunday.
