Returning players with starting experience: Jejuan Rankins, Travis Wilson.
Unseating Mark Clayton was no small chore, but that's exactly what Travis Wilson did last year when he wrestled away the team lead in touchdown receptions. He found the end zone 11 times and established himself as one of the best in the Big 12. He will be a fixture around which this receiving corps, which lost four seniors, will build.

Jejuan Rankins reminds some of the departed Clayton in terms of elusiveness. The door stands wide open for him to take on a far more significant role. Another interesting development is the return of Tristen Ross, who was with the team two years ago.
Otherwise, the receiving group will be young. Quentin Chaney and Lendy Holmes redshirted last season and showed promise. They will likely be integrated quickly. Also look for a highly touted true freshman crop to get a serious look.

"They know what needs to be done. I mean, they are doing a great job preparing for the season coming up. They will be able to handle it their own way. I throw in my two cents now and then and try to help our team out..."

In 2004, he coached one of the nation's deepest receiving corps, which proved itself equally skilled at hitting the home run (four of his players had receptions of 40 or more yards), while also making the difficult catch and blocking for a much-improved running game.
The depth was perhaps best illustrated by the fact that Mark Clayton led the team in receptions and yards (66 for 876), Travis Wilson was first in touchdown receptions (11), while Mark Bradley had the top yards-per-catch figure (21.3)...
