NORMAN, Okla. - Kelvin Sampson coached the 2004-05 OU men's basketball team to a 25-8 overall record, a share of the Big 12 regular season championship and a No. 3 NCAA Tournament seed.  The Sooners, picked to finish fourth in the Big 12 by league coaches and media, tied Kansas for first place and earned the conference tournament's No. 1 seed by virtue of their Feb. 21 win over the Jayhawks.

Three Sooners, all juniors, earned All-Big 12 recognition following the season.  Taj Gray was named a first-team selection and also picked up Big 12 Newcomer of the Year honors.  Kevin Bookout was a third-team choice while Terrell Everett was an honorable mention pick.
