NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma linebacker Clint Ingram is on the West roster for the East-West Shine Game. That event has moved this year to the Alamodome in San Antonio after 80 years in San Francisco, and will kickoff on Jan. 21 at 3 p.m., (CST).
Ingram leads the Sooners this season with four interceptions, including one that he returned 48 yards for a touchdown against Tulsa. One of only three senior starters on the OU defense, Ingram logged 57 tackles in 10 games this season. Despite missing the UCLA game with a pulled hamstring, Ingram ranked No. 4 on the team in total tackles. He had 10 tackles for loss, the fifth-highest total on the team. He also forced two fumbles.
Oklahoma is preparing for its Dec. 29, Pacific Life Holiday Bowl appearance against Oregon. The Sooners depart Norman Dec. 23.
The East-West Shrine Game is the oldest collegiate all-star game in the country. The game is played to raise money and awareness for the 22 Shriner Hospitals, which provide orthopedic and burn care at no cost to children across the country. To date, the game has raised over $14 million and has treated over 750,000 children.
