Mens Basketball Awards Presented at Team Banquet

NORMAN, Okla.   The University of Oklahoma men's basketball team held its annual awards banquet tonight at Lloyd Noble Center on Bruce Drake Court inside the practice facility.  The Sooners and approximately 500 fans shared in dinner, laughs, award presentations, a video presentation and a reflection on the regular season.

Ten awards were presented in categories ranging from Most Improved Player to the Tight White Award (given to a valuable scout team player).

Oklahoma is the No. 7 seed in the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.  The Sooners will play No. 10 seed Nebraska (16-11 overall, 6-10 Big 12) on Thursday at 6 p.m.  If they beat the Huskers they will take on No. 3 seed Texas (21-6, 12-4) on Friday at 6 p.m.  The Sooners are 18-9 overall and finished 8-8 in conference play.
