Carter On Preseason Rimington Watch List

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma's Vince Carter, one of the finalists for last year's Rimington Award, is on the preseason watch list for that honor in 2004. The Rimington Award, named for former Nebraska standout Dave Rimington, is presented annually to the top center in college football.
Carter is one of 36 players on the preseason list. The senior, who won All-America honors last year by CBSSportsline.com, was an All-Big 12 performer in 2003 as named by the Big 12 Coaches, the Austin American-Statesman and the Kansas City Star.
Carter had 118 knockdowns last season and only one sack allowed.
For his career, he has started 31 games, including the last 12 of the 2003 season.
Carter is a senior from Waco, Texas.
