The OU men's basketball team is being sent to Ann Arbor, Mich., for its second-round NIT game on Monday. The Sooners, who beat LSU 70-61 on Wednesday night at home in front of a lively and vocal crowd of 8,817, will face the Michigan Wolverines at 8 p.m. CST inside Crisler Arena in a nationally televised ESPN2 game.
Oklahoma (20-10) registered its seventh straight 20-win season with its triumph over the Tigers. Freshman forward Brandon Foust scored a career-high 19 points (his previous high was 11) and grabbed seven rebounds while fellow frosh and high school teammate Drew Lavender tallied 15 points and five assists. Johnnie Gilbert and Jason Detrick added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Michigan (19-11) advanced to the NIT second round by defeating Missouri on Tuesday night at home, 65-64, before 5,507 fans.
