Jason White Wins 2004 Unitas Award

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - Oklahoma quarterback Jason White, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, on Wednesday was named the winner of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which is presented to the nation's top senior quarterback.
White has completed 209-of-305 passes for 2,707 yards and 30 touchdowns for the second-ranked Sooners, who face Colorado in Saturday's Big 12 Conference championship.
Sporting a career record of 36-3, the sixth-year senior has thrown for 7,424 yards, leaving him just 33 yards shy of the school record. White has an active streak of 183 passes without an interception.

He was chosen from a list of finalists that included Auburn's Jason Campbell, Hawaii's Timmy Chang, Akron's Charlie Frye, Georgia's David Greene, Louisville's Stefan LeFors, Connecticut's Dan Orlovsky, Purdue's Kyle Orton and Arizona State's Andrew Walter.
The Unitas award is named after former Baltimore Colts great Johnny Unitas. Last year's winner was Mississippi's Eli Manning.
White will receive his award December 10.
