NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma football program is joining forces this weekend with the 14 Foundation, Norman Public Schools and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the annual Holiday Food Drive.
Non-perishable food items will be collected at drop sites prior to this Saturday's OU-Nebraska football game at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. At the same time, cash donations for the project will be accepted.
All proceeds will benefit families in the Norman area. Sooner football players and coaches will take an active role in the distribution process in the week following the game.
Off-campus locations that are also serving as drop locations include Wright's Food Stores, Panera Bread and McAlister's Deli. They will begin accepting donations Nov. 1.
Donations also are accepted by mailing contributions to FCA, P.O. Box 1613, Norman, OK, 73070.
