NORMAN, Okla. OU athletics officials announced Wednesday that the men's basketball team's exhibition game against Central Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 13, will tip off at 1 p.m. CST. Game time, previously listed as TBA, was set based upon OU's recently announced 6 p.m. home football kickoff against Nebraska the same day.
Central Oklahoma, coached by former Sooner point guard Terry Evans, returns three starters from last year's 11-17 squad. Evans, who also served as OU's director of basketball operations during the program's 2001-02 Final Four season, is in his third campaign as the Bronchos' head coach. He is OU's all-time leader in 3-point field goals and assists, and ranks second in career steals.
The Sooners play their first exhibition game against Cameron University on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. OU's regular season begins Nov. 20 when it hosts Cal State Northridge.
A limited number of OU season tickets (student and non-student) are still available by contacting the Athletics Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-GoOU.
