OU Wins Second Straight With Victory Over Texas Tech

Soccer Battles Oral Roberts Tonight At John Crain Field

Norman, Okla.- Friday's contest versus Oral Roberts at 7:30 p.m. marks the return of the Sooners to John Crain Field after a four-game road stint.  OU is 3-2-1 this season and recently defeated SMU, 2-1, in overtime last Sunday.  The first 150 fans will receive an autographed poster of this year's Sooner squad and the gates will open one hour prior to the start of the game.

ORU is 3-2-0 on the season. It defeated Texas Tech (3-0) and lost to Arkansas, a team OU defeated earlier in the year, by a score of 3-1. OU leads the all-time series five games to one, and the last time these two met the Sooners came out on top, 2-1 (9/1/02).

The Golden Eagles' offensive charge is led by Jessica Kellog (three goals) and Gentry Detter (two goals and two assists).  On the defensive side of the ball, Kellie Fenton and Christy Chapman have combined to post a 1.05 goals-against average and have three shutouts combined.

Friday is the start of the Oklahoma Shootout, and in addition to OU's scheduled game, Oklahoma State will host Tulsa at 7 p.m. in Stillwater.  On Sunday, the Cowgirls will play Oral Roberts at John Crain Field at 4:30 with the OU versus Tulsa game at 7:30 p.m. to follow.  All fans attending the second game of the day, that present their OU versus UCLA ticket stub, will receive $2 admission.
