Volleyball Red-White Scrimmage Set For Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma volleyball team will hold its annual Red-White Scrimmage, Saturday at 2 p.m., inside the McCasland Field House.

The scrimmage, which is free to the public, will be the only chance for Sooner fans to catch the squad in local action until Sept. 24, when OU opens the Big 12 home slate with Texas.

"We want to showcase the new team and fresh talent," said Mahi. "It is great opportunity for fans to get an early look at the team before we head out of Norman for the nonconference schedule. It is also is an excellent chance to turn up the intensity and see the team compete in a regular-season type atmosphere."

The Oklahoma volleyball team showcases 10 newcomers along side five returning starters. Currently, everyone on the team is healthy and scheduled to see court time this weekend.
