Erin Young Named Athletic Student Life's Sooner Of The Month

Erin Young is the recipient of the Athletic Student Life Sooner of the Month Award. This award is given each month to a student-athlete who demonstrates performance on and off the field, exemplary character and academic achievement.

Young, a junior from Norman, is a member of the OU women's soccer team and has been selected for the month of September. Erin is currently carrying a 3.92 GPA in Heath and Sport Sciences and is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board.

Young is one of the captains on OU's soccer team and has served as a key component to the team's success this season.  She has started every game this season for OU on defense. 

The Sooners are 7-3-2 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 action this season.  They currently hold the No. 18 ranking in the NSCAA/adidas top-25 poll and the No. 25 slot in the Soccer Buzz Magazine national poll.
