  • Oklahoma won its 16th straight game against Baylor and its 21st in 26 all-time meetings. Kelvin Sampson improved to 14-0 against the Bears as OU's head coach. Baylor hasn't beaten the Sooners since 1977.
  • OU is off to its best 25-game start since the 1989-90 season when that squad also began 21-4. That team was 27-4 before losing its last game of the season to end up 27-5.
  • OU improved to 61-9 in games versus teams from the state of Texas under Sampson.
  • Senior forward Aaron McGhee posted his fifth double-double in the last seven games and his ninth of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He has led the team in scoring the last five games and in rebounding in seven of the last eight outings. Over the last eight games, McGhee is averaging 19.1 points and 9.3 rebounds.
  • After a three-game stretch in which he failed to reach double figures in scoring, guard Ebi Ere has scored 13 and 15 in back-to-back games.
  • Quannas White paced the Sooners with five assists. He has led the team in the category in nine of the last 10 games.
  • Ere finished with seven rebounds (five offensive). He has grabbed at least seven rebounds in a game 11 times this year.
  • Hollis Price's 15 points marked his highest scoring output in five games.
  • McGhee was 3-for-4 from three-point range tonight and tied a career high with his three makes.
  • Oklahoma improved to 20-1 on the year when leading at halftime and is now 17-2 when committing the same or fewer turnovers than its opponent.
  • OU's four free throws and five attempts were both season lows.
  • Baylor ranked eighth nationally entering the game with its 9.2 three-point makes per outing but made just three on 22 attempts for a .136 figure.
