Men's Basketball Team To Hold Public Scrimmage Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. - The OU men's basketball team will hold an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Howard McCasland Field House. Admission is free to the public and representatives from the OU Athletic Ticket Office will be selling season tickets in the Field House lobby.

Oklahoma, a consensus top-five national preseason selection, returns four starters from last year's 31-5 squad that won the Big 12 Tournament and competed in the Final Four. Those starters are seniors Ebi Ere, Hollis Price, Quannas White and junior Jabahri Brown. Price was named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year last week by conference coaches.

The Sooners play their first exhibition game Nov. 9 against Global Sports and open the regular season Nov. 14 versus Alabama inside New York's Madison Square Garden as part of the AT&T Wireless Classic.
