NORMAN, Okla. - The accolades continue to roll in for Oklahoma midfielder
Lauren MacIver as Soccer America named the freshman to their national Team
of the Week on Wednesday.
Last weekend, MacIver scored twice in OU's 4-0 win over Texas Tech for the first
multiple goal game of her career. She also registered two assists in the Sooners
4-2 victory over Baylor. The Tulsa, Okla., freshman has started all 10 games for
the Sooners and ranks third on the team in goals scored (three) and leads all
OU newcomers with eight points (three goals, two assists).
MacIver was named the Oklahoma High School Player of the Year in 2001 after her
outstanding career at state powerhouse Jenks High School.
The Sooners (8-2-0, 2-0-0 Big 12) host TCU on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at John
Crain Field before traveling to Ames, Iowa to battle the Cyclones of Iowa State.
