Soccer's Jonette Coquat Garners Academic Honors

NORMAN, Okla. - OU senior soccer player Jonette Coquat was named to the Verizon Academic All-District VI University Division Women's Soccer Team, announced today by CoSida (College Sports Information Directors of America).

Coquat, who graduated in December with a bachelor's degree in psychology, was the school's all-time leading scorer. The Carrollton, Texas, product ranks first in career goals (26), assists (15) and points (67) for Oklahoma and helped lead the team to back-to-back Big 12 Tournament appearances. In 2001, the Sooners put together their best season ever with a record of 11-7-1.

An outstanding student, Coquat is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 first-team selection and earned a 4.0 grade point average last year.
