Trent Smith is a junior tight end who earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors last season after catching 29 passes for 310 yards and three touchdowns. Smith, who hails from Clinton, Okla., played in every game and started all but one last season. His best performance came in the Big 12 Championship Game against Kansas State when he hauled in eight passes for 96 yards and a score. He was named ABC's Player of the Game for his effort. Smith has 47 career receptions to rank fifth on OU's all-time tight ends list. An avid flyer who earned his pilot's license last summer, he is an aviation major.
