Tonight's game marked OU's second and final exhibition contest of the season. The Sooners' 85-56 win was their 28th exhibition victory in their last 29 exhibition games.
Oklahoma had a starting five that consisted of guards Hollis Price, Quannas White and Ebi Ere, forward Aaron McGhee and center Jozsef Szendrei.
OU shot just .341 from the field in the first half on 15-for-44 shooting. EA Sports shot 11-for-27 (40.7%) in the opening stanza, however the Sooners took a 40-29 lead into the half.
OU forward Aaron McGhee scored 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting in the first half. Daryan Selvy scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds and had three steals in 12 minutes of first-half play.
Jason Detrick and Selvy led the Sooners with 16 points apiece. Selvy added eight rebounds and five steals.
Five Sooners scored in double figures: Detrick and Selvy (16 each), Price (15), Ere (13) and McGhee (12).
In addition to scoring 13 points, Ere grabbed 13 rebounds for the first double-double of his Sooner career. The Preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half.
The Sooners shot 33 more times than the EA Sports, making 33 of their 88 shots, a .375 clip.
OU outrebounded EA Sports 56-40, including an incredible 20-2 edge on the offensive glass. Oklahoma held a 42-18 scoring edge in the paint and dished out 19 assists to just eight for the visitors.
Oklahoma forced 22 EA Sports turnovers, while turning the ball over just eight times. OU scored 27 points off of those turnovers. The Sooners only allowed the visitors to shoot .364 from the field.
Kris Johnson led the EA Sports with 16 points. He played collegiately at UCLA and is the son of former NBA star Marques Johnson.
EA Sports All-Stars is now 2-6 on its 10-game exhibition schedule. The traveling team has played eight games in nine days throughout the Midwest, gaining wins against Arkansas State and Arkansas. It plays at Oklahoma State tomorrow night.
