NORMAN, Okla. - In its final match of the 2001 season, the University of Oklahoma volleyball team (3-29, 2-17 Big 12) will travel to Austin, Texas, to face Texas (15-13, 8-11 Big 12) on Saturday, Nov. 24. Match time with the Longhorns is set for 7 p.m at the Gregory Gym.

Texas dominates the all-time series with Oklahoma, 19-0, dating back to 1975. The Longhorns swept the first match of the season series on Oct. 3 in Norman.

Coming off a 3-1 victory over Iowa State, the Sooners are being led by sophomore Logan Pierce. She is averaging 3.15 kills per game and 2.47 digs per game to lead OU. Junior Jessica Barney is dishing out 9.41 assists per game, while averaging 0.41 service aces per contest. Freshman Candice Woods leads the Sooner defense at the net with 0.85 blocks per game.

After dropping a match to No. 15 Texas A&M on Wednesday, the Longhorns are being led by Bethany Howden. Howden averages 4.08 kills per game, 1.32 blocks per game and holds team-best .354 hitting percentage. Mira Topic leads the defense with 3.22 digs per game, while Abbie Schindler charters the offense with 12.85 assists per game.
