Saturdays Game
Oklahoma State plays its sixth game in 10 days Saturday night as the Cowboys host the North Texas Eagles. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Oklahoma State is 5-0 and ranked 15th nationally in the Associated Press Poll after winning the Las Vegas Tournament with a 95-77 win over TCU in the championship game. North Texas is 1-0 with a 79-77 win over Southwest Missouri State last Friday in Denton.

Last Time Out For Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State had four players score in double figures, including a game-high 23 by Fredrik Jnzn, as the Cowboys defeated TCU, 95-77, to win the Las Vegas Tournament. Jnzn also finished with a team-high 13 rebounds, while Baker grabbed 10. OSU shot 50 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Horned Frogs, 52-40. For the three games in Vegas, OSU outscored its opponent by an average of 18 points per game and shot 50.6 percent from the floor. Both Jnzn (19 points, 9.7 rebounds per game) and Victor Williams (14.7 points, 3.7 assists per game) were named to the all-tournament team, while Baker (20.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, four assists per game) was named the tournament MVP.

OSU-North Texas: The Series
Oklahoma State has not lost in 11 games with the North Texas Eagles. The series began in 1937-38 when OSU posted a 28-23 victory over UNT in Stillwater. OSU won a pair of games in 1954 and 55, and two more within a month in 1958. The Cowboys and Eagles squared off in the All-College Classic in 1980, and then played two more games in 1988 and 89. Ironically, the last three games that have been played in the series have all ended with 38-point wins for the Cowboys. OSU won, 98-60, in 1997; 103-65 in 1999 and 94-56 in 2000.

Last Time Out For North Texas
North Texas got 26 points from Chris Davis and 23 from Jerome Rogers off the bench as the Eagles defeated Southwest Missouri State, 79-77, last Friday in Denton, Texas. The difference in the game was three-point shooting, as UNT connected on 10-of-22 from behind the arc while SMS only made 5-of-13. Both teams made 29 field goals, and Southwest Missouri State hit three more free throws than the Eagles. The Bears had the rebounding margin, but North Texas had fewer turnovers. It all came down to long-range shooting, and North Texas came out with the win.

Cowboys In The Polls
Oklahoma State is currently ranked 15th in the Associated Press and 16th in the USA Today/ ESPN Coaches Poll. OSU is receiving 727 points in the AP poll (152 behind No. 14 Stanford) and 320 points in the ESPN poll (27 behind No. 15 Georgetown). Five of Oklahoma States opponents this season are ranked in the top 25 of one poll or the other, and four more are receiving votes in at least one of the polls. Here is a look at where OSU has ranked in each poll this season.

OSU Holds the Lead
Through the first five games, Oklahoma State has dominated its opponents. Of the 3 hours and 20 minutes played by the Cowboys, they have led for 2 hours, 58 minutes and 53 seconds. OSU has only trailed in the second half in the Siena game. The longest span that OSU has trailed was for 4:38 early in the first half vs. Austin Peay.

Jnzn Moving Up Scoring Chart
Senior forward Fredrik Jnzn moved into the top 30 in career scoring at Oklahoma State with his 17 points vs. Siena. After his 23 points vs. TCU, he now has 915 points in his 3-plus year career, just 85 from reaching the 1,000-point plateau. He needs 25 points to move past Clayton Carter for 29th place and 55 points to move into the top-25 all-time.

Jnzn Moves Into Top 10 in Rebounds
In one-single game, senior Fredrik Jnzn moved pass three former players on the career-rebounding charts, surpassing Chianti Roberts, Joe Atkinson and Adrian Peterson. With 13 boards vs. TCU Wednesday night, Fred now has 575 rebounds in his OSU career. He needs just 26 rebounds to move into ninth place, and 188 to move into eighth place on the career rebounding list.

Baker Improves Numbers
One of Coach Suttons biggest fears prior to this season was that senior guard Maurice Baker would be unable to match his numbers from a year ago, based mostly on the theory that other teams would key on Baker defensively. It apparently hasnt happened yet. Baker is averaging 21.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game through five this season, and is also averaging 4.4 assists per contest. Those numbers are all better than his 19.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game average last year. He is also shooting 61.5 percent from the floor, 47.1 percent from behind the arc and 94.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Peaks and Valleys From the Charity Stripe
Five Cowboys are shooting better than 75 percent from the free-throw line. Aaron Hill leads the Cowboys with perfect shooting (2-of-2) from the charity stripe. Maurice Baker is shooting 94.7 percent, with Cheyne Gadson (85.7), Victor Williams (85.2) and Melvin Sanders (75.0) also making at least 3/4th of their free throws. However, OSU also has five players shooting less than 54 percent from the line.

Coach Sutton Reaches Milestone
Oklahoma States 69-62 win over Cincinnati Friday night gave Coach Eddie Sutton his 250th victory at OSU, and his 680th win overall. With his 254 wins at Oklahoma State, he is now just six wins shy of matching his 260 victories while at Arkansas.

Victor Taking Charge
Junior guard Victor Williams took charge in the Siena College game Tuesday night in Las Vegas. He scored eight points in a three-minute span as OSU went on a 20-0 run. This season, Victor is averaging 13.8 points and 3.6 assists per game. He is also shooting 40.0 percent from behind the three-point arc and 85.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Non-Conference Record in Gallagher-Iba Arena
Oklahoma State is 95-1 in non-conference games held in Gallagher-Iba Arena since an 81-75 loss to Missouri Southern on Jan. 7, 1987. The only loss during that span was an 83-81 loss to Florida Atlantic on Dec. 1, 1998, when the Cowboys were ranked 11th in the nation. That loss broke a string of 79-consecutive home non-league wins for OSU. Dating back the last 20 years to 1981, Oklahoma State is 124-7 (.947) in those types of games.

Baker Nearly Records Triple-Double
Senior guard Maurice Baker scored 29 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out eight assists in OSUs 81-58 win over Austin Peay, just two assists shy of his second-career triple-double. Baker had 19 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Texas-San Antonio last season, jus the second triple-double in OSU history and only the third by a Big 12 player. He now has six-career double-doubles as a Cowboy, 29 double-figure scoring games and 19 20-point games at Oklahoma State.

OSU Post Players Host Block Party
Through the first five games, OSU has blocked 19 shots, and average of 4.8 swats a game. Andre Williams leads the team with six blocks, followed by Fredrik Jnzn with five, Antoine Broxsie with four, Ivan McFarlin with three and Melvin Sanders with one. Williams had four vs. Cincinnati, and Broxsie had three of his four vs. TCU.

Andre Williams Moves Up Blocked Shots Chart
Oklahoma State junior Andre Williams recorded four blocks vs. Cincinnati, and now has six in five games this season. He has become just the fifth player in school history to reach the century mark in blocked shots in his career. The amazing fact is that he accomplished that feat in just two seasons, the second Cowboy ever to do so. Byron Houston had 131 blocks after his sophomore year, and also owns the all-time career blocked-shots record with 223.
