Oklahoma held Texas A&M to just five first downs in today's game. That is the fewest since the Sooners allowed just one first down against Oklahoma State in 1993.

Oklahoma allowed just 132 yards to A&M, the lowest total it has given up all season. It breaks the 138 yards allowed to Tulsa a week ago.

Today is the second week in a row that OU has held an opponent to less than 100 yards passing. Tulsa gained 90 yards in the air last week and A&M had just 58 yards passing today. The last time OU held two opponents in a row to under 100 yards passing was in 1998, when OU limited North Texas to just 75 yards and TCU to just 38 yards passing.

Today's attendance of 75,525 gave Oklahoma its 17th consecutive sellout.

Oklahoma cornerback Antonio Perkins made his first career start in today's game.

With his 10 tackles in today's game, Rocky Calmus went over 100 tackles for the season. He currently has 104 tackles. This is the third consecutive season in which he has done so, and he joins some impressive company in OU history. Among past Oklahoma linebackers who have had three 100-plus tackle seasons: Rod Shoate, a three time All-American from 1972-74; Jackie Shipp, current OU coach and the 1984 first-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins, 1981-83; George Cumby, a two-time All-American from 1977-79; Daryl Hunt, an All-American who played from 1976-78; and Brian Bosworth, a two-time All-American and two-time Butkus Award winner, 1984-86.

When Texas A&M's Brian Gamble returned a fumble 18 yards for an Aggie touchdown in the first quarter, it marked the first fumble return for a touchdown against OU since Texas' Kyle Shipley did so on Oct. 11, 1997.

OU punter Jeff Ferguson had his 17th, 18th and 19th punts of the season downed inside the 20, and he added a 63-yard punt, his second-longest effort of the season. He has 16 punts of 50-plus yards on the year and 45 on his career.

With his four catches in today's game, redshirt freshman Mark Clayton now holds the all-time Oklahoma freshman record for catches in a season with 35.

Oklahoma kicker Tim Duncan has now connected on seven consecutive field goal attempts. He made a 35-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Duncan scored the second touchdown of his career on a 10-yard run on a fake field goal in the third quarter. He previously scored on a four-yard reception from Patrick Fletcher on a fake field goal against Texas in 1999.

Curtis Fagan had 35 punt return yards in today's game, giving him 297 yards for the season. That total places him in sixth all-time for single-season punt return yardage.

Nate Hybl's two-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter was his third rushing score of the season.

Hybl threw his 10th and 11th touchdown passes of the year in today's game. He hit Antwone Savage in the second quarter and Clayton in the fourth.

Hybl's 11 touchdown passes in 2001 tie him for the fifth-highest single-season touchdown pass total ever for an OU quarterback. Steve Davis also had 11 TD passes in 1974. Josh Heupel had 30 TD passes in 1999, a school-record.

Savage's 12-yard touchdown reception was his fourth TD grab of the season and eighth of his career. It was also his 105th career catch as a Sooner, placing him in second place all-time in receptions at Oklahoma. He now has 108 career catches, passing Stephen Alexander, who had 104 catches from 1994-97. The school record is 114, held by Eddie Hinton.

Quentin Griffin caught the 100th pass of his career in the fourth quarter. Trent Smith currently has 99 career recptions and Curtis Fagan has 97. Before this season, only two Sooners had ever surpassed the 100-reception mark for a career.

Oklahoma fell behind the Aggies 10-0 in the first quarter, however came back to win the game, 31-10. The last time OU overcame a double-digit deficit to win was against Texas A&M in 2000, when it trailed 31-21 with 13:36 remaining to play. OU went on to prevail, 35-31

OU now owns an 11-9 all-time series lead against Texas A&M, including an 8-2 edge in Norman. The teams have split six Big 12 Conference contests.

OU extended its home winning streak to 19 games, currently the second-longest in the nation. That ties the fifth-longest home winning streak in Oklahoma history. The previous 19-game home win streak took place from Oct. 26, 1985 (vs. Iowa State) through Oct. 29, 1988 (vs. Kansas).
