NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma women's soccer player Shannon Wing grabbed Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced today.

Wing, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, helped the Sooners to back-to-back wins this past weekend as OU defeated UW-Milwaukee (1-0 on Friday) and TCU (2-1 on Sunday). With the victories, Oklahoma improved to 5-3 on the season. The Sooners have already surpassed last year's win total (four victories).

In the win over the Horned Frogs, Wing notched the game-winning goal and added an assist.

Oklahoma, riding a school-record three-game winning streak, wraps up its six-game homestand with a pair of conference games this weekend. OU plays Kansas Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Missouri Sunday at noon. The games will be played at the OU soccer complex, located at the intersection of Chautauqua Ave. and Imhoff Rd., directly west of Lloyd Noble Center.
