OKLAHOMA HEAD COACH KELVIN SAMPSON:

On the team's progression:
"I thought this was a very good team effort tonight. We had a good week of practice. Our defensive effort was stellar and we got a lot of points in transition. This team is very quick and athletic and our bigger guys are making progress."

On rebounding from the loss to Mississippi:
"Even though we lost last week, I think that our game against Ole Miss taught us how to be a better team and I think that showed tonight. Sometimes you need those type of games in order to improve as the season progresses."

On Ronnie Griffin:
"Ronnie got some things done tonight. He still has to learn a few things but he will get better. I thought as the game went on, he got better. He went 4-for-4 from the free throw line, so that was encouraging. We have a lot of big guys playing for us, so it's hard to focus on just one."

On Aaron McGhee and OU's guard play:
"Aaron shot the ball very well tonight. He took 16 shots and he made 13 and a lot of those were easy baskets. A lot of the credit does have to go to the guards. We had great point guard play tonight and that was a definite key to our success. I thought that was lacking in our loss last week to Mississippi."

OKLAHOMA JUNIOR FORWARD AARON McGHEE:
"The key tonight for me was making the easy shots and staying out of foul trouble. That's haunted me over the last couple of games. My 28 points tonight didn't surprise me, but the fact that I scored them in 20 minutes of play is what really impressed me. I made the most of my playing time."

OKLAHOMA JUNIOR FORWARD RONNIE GRIFFIN:

On his first start:
"I was anxious at first, of course, but once I got into a groove, I thought I played pretty well. I've been very patient in terms of getting my chance to start and I think it's paid off. One of the things I want work on is rebounding. I feel that is one of my strengths and one of my biggest contributions to the team. I was a little passive on defense tonight. One of the reasons for that is the officials were calling so many fouls."

OKLAHOMA SOPHOMORE GUARD HOLLIS PRICE :
"I felt I pushed the ball effectively tonight, which is one of the things Coach Sampson and I have worked on the past week. I thought I got everybody involved tonight. One of the goals we had in this game and the remaining games of the season, is to keep our opponent under 40-percent (field goal percentage). We accomplished that in the first half."

NORTH TEXAS HEAD COACH VIC TRILLI:

On the overall game:
"Oklahoma is a very aggressive team. They go out and get after you and will trap you in the full court. They've got great speed and ball handlers. The seniors on the team come off the bench very calm and cool and are ready to compete. The quick guards forced turnovers and made us miss easy shots. They come at you strong and with full force."

On OU's Hollis Price:
"Hollis Price is key for that team. He's got big-time speed and will lead the team. I'd love to have him in the game."

On OU's Aaron McGhee:
"(Aaron) McGhee scores. No matter how hard we try, he won't let up. He's strong and won't miss very many shots. He's a great athlete with great confidence."
