Men's Hoops Ranked 22nd In Season's First AP Poll

NORMAN, Okla. - The OU men's basketball team is ranked 22nd in the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll that was released this week. The Sooners are one of three Big 12 teams to appear in the poll's top 25 as Kansas is ranked seventh and Iowa State is ranked 25th.

Other Big 12 teams receiving votes include Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma, which finished 27-7 last year and earned a trip to its sixth straight NCAA Tournament, completes its 2000 exhibition season with a game versus Global Sports Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center. OU students will be admitted free with a valid ID. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
