June 24, 1999 | Football

MESSAGE FROM HEAD COACH BOB STOOPS

I'm honored to be the new head football coach at the University of Oklahoma, one of the elite programs in the country. During my coaching career, I've been fortunate to be associated with teams who have played in 11 bowl games, as well as win a national championship. My staff and I expect to achieve the same success at Oklahoma.

As a young football player, I invite you to attend our summer football camp. You will have an opportunity to experience first hand the great tradition established at Oklahoma, and will benefit from one-on-one interaction with our energetic and successful coaching staff. We will stress fundamentals of playing the game, as well as those of strength and conditioning, and you'll be exposed to the explosive offense and aggressive defense we will be playing this year.

By spending a few days on our campus, you can take advantage of some of the finest facilities in the nation, including the new Barry Switzer Center. We hope to see you this summer and thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your development as a football player.
