Jarrail Jackson's kickoff return of 53 yards to start the game was a career long. His previous best was 34 yards (twice).

Oklahoma scored a touchdown on its first possession tonight. It marked the third consecutive game that OU has accomplished the feat (including Brandon Daniels' 89-yard kickoff return against Notre Dame).

Curtis Fagan's touchdown reception in the first quarter was the first of his career. Fagan became the 13th different receiver to catch a touchdown pass this season.

Seth Littrell's 41-yard run on a fake punt was a career long. His previous long was a 32-yard dash against North Texas in 1998. He rushed for 45 yards on three carries and now has 529 yards rushing for his career.

For the second straight game, the Sooners held a 17-0 first-quarter lead. In fact, OU opened a 27-0 lead before Texas A&M's lone score of the contest.

So far this year, OU has outscored its opponents 69-10 in the first quarter.

Josh Heupel ran for three touchdowns tonight. The Sooner quarterback to score three touchdowns in one game was Cale Gundy against Texas in 1993. The last time an OU quarterback ran for three touchdowns in a game inside Memorial Stadium was Charles Thompson against Kansas State in 1988.

With six first-half receptions, running back Michael Thornton tied the school record for receptions in a game. Steve Sewell also did it against Kansas State in 1984.

With his three receptions in the first half, freshman Antwone Savage set the school freshman record for receptions in a season. He now has 20 catches for 327 yards and one touchdown.

The Sooners have scored 40 or more points four times this season. The last time OU accomplished this was 1993.

For the first time this season, OU did not punt in the first half.

Last year, Texas A&M held OU to just five first downs in the game. Oklahoma ended tonight's game with 30 first downs.

The last time the Sooners defeated a ranked opponent was in 1996 (Texas).

With the win, the Sooners evened the all-time series with Texas A&M (9-9).

Tonight's 45-point victory was the largest in a conference game for OU since a 55-10 win against Missouri in 1990.

The 51 points given up by the Aggies were the second most by an R.C. Slocum-coached team.

Tonight's crowd of 74,552 was the largest at Memorial Stadium this season.

Josh Heupel passed for more than 300 yards for the fifth time this season, tying Cale Gundy's career record of five 300-yard games.

For the second time this season Josh Heupel accounted for six TDs. Heupel ran for three and threw for three touchdowns. He also had a total of six TDs against Louisville (threw for five and ran for one).

For the third time the year, Oklahoma collected 30 first downs.

OU's 552 yards of total offense was the second-highest total of the season. It marked the fourth time OU has gained more than 500 yards in a game this season.

Fourteen OU receivers caught passes against the Aggies tonight, breaking a school record of 13 set earlier this season.

Senior running back Reggie Skinner became the second Sooner to pass the century mark this season with his 106 yards on 15 carries. Michael Thornton did it earlier when he ran for 110 against Baylor (Sept. 18).

The Sooners held the Aggies to 72 yards rushing on the game, the fewest ground yards by an OU team in conference play since limiting Oklahoma State to 33 yards in 1993.

Two years ago on Owen Field, the Sooners lost to the Aggies 51-7. In a nearly mirror score, OU won tonight 51-6.
