Kyle Seelig

Kyle Seelig joined the Oklahoma men’s tennis program as assistant coach in June 2026.

Before he became a Sooner, Seelig spent three seasons as assistant coach at Liberty and was a student-athlete at Ohio State. Seelig helped lead the Flames to an 18-9 record and a runner-up finish in Conference USA in their inaugural season in the league. Liberty reached a season-high No. 45 in the ITA team rankings. In 2026, the Flames finished 14-10 and ranked No. 63 nationally.

As a player at Ohio State from 2015-21, Seelig helped the Buckeyes win four consecutive Big Ten championships from 2016-19. A three-time first-team All-Big Ten selection, he compiled a 127-40 singles record and a 45-21 doubles mark. Seelig helped Ohio State capture the 2019 ITA Indoor National Championship and finish as the 2018 NCAA national runner-up.

In 2019, Seelig helped Ohio State reach the No. 1 ITA team ranking while posting an 18-0 combined record in singles and doubles during Big Ten play. He reached a career-high No. 12 singles ranking and qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships. Seelig was also named to the 2018 NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team and the 2019 ITA Indoor Championships All-Tournament Team at No. 2 doubles.

Off the court, Seelig earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors twice, was a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

Seelig received his bachelor's degree in child and youth studies in 2020.
