Across his first two seasons in Norman, George has helped guide the Sooners back to the NCAA Championships, capturing two tournament titles and 15 top-five finishes along the way. The 2025 squad placed fourth at the NCAA Norman Regional and set a program record for season scoring average with a mark of 285.44.
Prior to Oklahoma, George served as the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Sterling College for a decade, where he built both programs into perennial contenders. Under his leadership, Sterling set more than 40 program records and produced 30 All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Tournament Team selections. He coached 16 KCAC All-Conference players and nine Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholars.
George’s men’s program tallied 17 top-two finishes and claimed seven tournament championships during his tenure. In 2022, the Warriors won the KCAC Championship and advanced to the NAIA National Championship, earning George KCAC Coach of the Year honors.
A certified instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), George also served as the KCAC Women’s Golf Chair beginning in 2019.
In addition to his golf success, George played a key role in the Sterling women’s basketball program’s dominance, assisting with three KCAC regular-season titles (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23) and two tournament championships (2021, 2022).
As a student-athlete at Sterling, George was a standout golfer. He earned NAIA Academic All-America honors in 2014 and was named a GCAA Cleveland/Srixon Academic All-American in 2013. A three-time KCAC Academic All-Conference selection, he twice earned All-KCAC honors as a player (2012-13, 2013-14).
