Responsible for coordinating all communication efforts for women’s gymnastics, Diana Ly is in her first season with the Sooners in 2022-23. She handles all media requests for the team, coordinates social media efforts and oversees all women’s gymnastics content on SoonerSports.com. Ly is also the primary contact for the Oklahoma volleyball program.

In the summer of 2021, Ly served as an associate producer for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with NBC Sports’ digital and social media team and won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Interactive Experience – Event Coverage in 2022 for her efforts. 

Prior to arriving at Oklahoma, she spent one-and-a-half years at NBC Sports as a junior publicist and social media coordinator. She oversaw the PR efforts for Olympic Sports (i.e., gymnastics, track & field and swimming), Notre Dame Football, French Open and Premier League. In the social media department, Ly served as a content creator for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and U.S. Olympic Trials, and oversaw the social media efforts for the GOLF Channel, including the Ryder Cup and major championships, such as the U.S. Open and The Open Championship.

Ly’s collegiate experience includes stops at Vanderbilt, Illinois and Arizona State. She served as the primary contact for the Vanderbilt women’s golf and men’s tennis programs, and was the secondary contact for the women’s basketball and cross country/track & field programs. From 2018-19, she oversaw communications efforts for Illini men’s and women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s golf, while assisting with women’s basketball. As a student intern with Sun Devil Athletics, she served as the secondary contact for women’s gymnastics, water polo and beach volleyball, while assisting with all other sports. 

A native of Lansing, Mich., and former competitive gymnast, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and motion pictures in 2013 from the University of Miami, and a Master of Sports Law and Business (MSLB) degree in 2018 from Arizona State.
