Gabby Blossom

Blossom, who played collegiately at Penn State and San Diego, joined the OU coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season after having spent the last four years playing professionally, most recently in League One Volleyball with LOVB Nebraska.

Prior to her two seasons with LOVB Nebraska, Blossom played three with Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball (2023-25) and one with the Columbus Fury of the Pro Volleyball Federation (2024). She also played in Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino in Puerto Rico.

In her final collegiate season at San Diego, Blossom led the Toreros to their first ever NCAA Final Four appearance. She was named an AVCA First-Team All-American, the AVCA Pacific South Region Player of the Year, the West Coast Conference Setter of the Year and the NCAA Stanford Regional Most Outstanding Player. She totaled 1,324 assists, 306 digs, 34 services aces and 45 blocks during the 2022 campaign.

Blossom played her first four collegiate seasons at Penn State, where she was an AVCA Third-Team All-American in 2019, helping lead the Nittany Lions to four NCAA Tournaments and two Elite Eight appearances (2018 and ’19). She was a two-time All-Big Ten Second Team selection (2019 and ’20) and was twice named to the All-Big Ten Academic Team. She totaled 3,271 assists, 865 digs and 76 aces during her four seasons at Penn State.

A three-year team captain at Penn State, Blossom spent three years on the Athletic Director’s Leadership Institute and served as a PSU Student-Athlete Advisory Board representative all four years.

A St. Louis, Mo., product, Blossom earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State in 2021.
