Courtney DeTringo arrived at OU in June 2024 and serves as the athletic trainer for the men’s gymnastics program.
 
Prior to Oklahoma, DeTringo was the athletic trainer for the women’s gymnastics program at the University of Missouri from 2022-24, where the Tigers finished among the top five nationally in 2022. DeTringo worked for Ohio State University as an athletic trainer for the cheer, dance and mascots programs from 2021-22. During her tenure, the dance team won three national championships, and the cheer team finished in third place at the national championships.
 
Before beginning with Ohio State, DeTringo spent a summer as an athletic trainer for Camp Woodward, working with gymnasts, cheerleaders, and action sports athletes. She also previously worked with the Baylor University football and acrobatics & tumbling programs, and with the University of Michigan men’s gymnastics program while pursuing her master’s degree.
 
DeTringo received a Master of Athletic Training degree from Baylor University and earned her bachelor’s degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida.
 
DeTringo enjoys leading an active lifestyle, including hiking, lifting weights, and fitness. She is a former cheerleader at the University of Florida and was a gymnast for 16 years.
