Vince Rinaldi joined Oklahoma Athletics in the fall of 2019 and currently serves as Baseball Video & Analytics Coordinator.
In this role, he oversees the compilation of player development reports, assists with advance scouting reports during the season; uploads, maintains and disseminates video and data under direction and discretion of the OU baseball coaching staff, and vets emerging baseball technologies for the upcoming facility with Brandon Stone. He also creates and coordinates all video needs of the OU baseball coaching staff and players, and assists with camps.
Prior to his time with OU, he spent the summer of 2019 in the Northwoods League as an video and data coach with the Mankato Moondogs.
Prior to Mankato, he was the Director of Baseball Operations & Data Analytics/Video Development Coordinator at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock from the fall of 2018 to the spring of 2019. In that role, he led the Trojans’ Baseball and Video Data Analytics program and contributed a new level of insights to scouting, game-planning, and the overall progression of individual player development.
Prior to his time with UALR, he spent the fall of 2017 as an intern with gener8tor/gBeta, a start-up accelerator in Madison, Wisconsin. In the spring & summer of 2017, he was with the Detroit Tigers AA Affiliate, Erie, as a Minor League Video Assistant. In that role, he coordinated and disseminated in-season scouting and player development reports in addition to streamlining minor league video of the players within the organization.
Prior to the Tigers, he spent the 2016 season with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as a Video Coordinator with the 2016 Pioneer League Champions- the Orem Owlz.
During his junior year of undergraduate studies, he interned at Baseball Info Solutions in Coplay, PA. BIS/SIS is a company renowned within the baseball industry for forward thinking initiatives- including research regarding “the shift”. Prior to Baseball Info Solutions, he spent time with other companies including Sportvision, Spiderz Batting Gloves and STiKS Academy & Sports Training.
A Sussex, Wisconsin, native, Rinaldi earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration & sport & recreation management, and associates degrees in information technology & marketing from Marian University.
Rinaldi also earned a Master of Human Relations at OU in May 2021, and a Master of International Studies in May 2023.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and has been to 42 states.
