Former Sooner Evan Mistich is in his second season working with the Oklahoma baseball team. He oversees the analytics, video and scouting areas of the program.Ā 

Mistich, who served as volunteer coach in 2018, was an outfielder and designated hitter as a player at OU from 2011-12. He returned to Oklahoma in a coaching role in spring 2018 after a brief stint as the volunteer assistant at Oral Roberts during fall ball. He began his coaching career at Grayson College in 2017.

In two years at Oklahoma, Mistich was a part of two NCAA Regional teams, including the 2012 team that reached the Super Regionals. He made 94 starts in his Sooner career and hit .289 with five home runs and 51 RBI. Mistich earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team in 2012 and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2011. He began his playing career at Tulane in 2009, where he made 24 starts and hit .256, before moving on to Panola (Texas) Junior College, where he hit .356 with 10 home runs.

Mistich, a native of Houma, La., graduated from Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in multidisciplinary studies.
