Sexual Misconduct, Discrimination & Harassment Policy
The University is committed to creating and maintaining a community where all persons who participate in University programs and activities can work and learn together in an atmosphere free from all forms of harassment, exploitation, or intimidation. The University condemns discrimination based on sex or gender, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual orientation discrimination, discrimination based on gender identity or expression, and sexual misconduct. The Institutional Equity and Title IX Office handles claims involving the Sexual Misconduct, Discrimination and Harassment Policy and gender equity issues.

Prior to being eligible to enroll, all students must take the mandatory Title IX/Sexual Misconduct Awareness online training.

Non-Discrimination Policy

The University of Oklahoma, in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, gender expression, age, religion, disability, political beliefs, or status as a veteran in any of its policies, practices, or procedures. In accordance with those requirements and as required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972Ā and its implementing regulations at 34 C.F.R. 106.8, the University of Oklahoma does not discriminate on the basis on sex or gender in its education program or activities, including, but not limited to: admissions, employment, financial aid, housing, services in educational programs or activities, or health care services that the University operates or provides. Any person may report discrimination or harassment, including sexual harassment, to the Institutional Equity Officer and Title IX Coordinator in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the contact information listed below. Such a report may be made at any time (including during non-business hours) by using the telephone number or electronic mail address, or by mail to the office address, listed for the Title IX Coordinator. Any person seeking information about the University's procedures for filing a grievance may contact the Title IX Coordinator or visit the website below.
