The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents has approved designs for the initial phase of a new soccer facility that will be located directly west of Lloyd Noble Center on the OU campus. The $1.2 million first phase of construction is expected to be completed in time for the upcoming fall 2000 season. Approved were designs for construction of a field, irrigation system, lighting, fencing, bleachers and utilities.

"I don't think I have the words to describe how excited I am about this project," said OU Head Coach Randy Evans. "This should have a huge impact in recruiting. If we can get the top players from Oklahoma to come to OU, we could be a top 20 program."
