More on Bedlam week, Clay's memories of last year's meeting with OSU, prepping for the Cowboys and more in Monday's Sooner Report.
On the play of LB Dominique Alexander:
"Dominique has really played well. For a true freshman to come in and do what he has done through this period of time has been really one of the more impressive freshman on defense that we have ever had."
On how to stop OSU’s offense:
"I think all games like this for us comes down to third down and turnovers. I think that's always going to be critical to keep them off the field and not let them get in rhythm."
On his memories from last year’s Bedlam game:
"That was down to the wire. That was probably one of the best games I've been a part of."
On what allows this team to play well on the road:
“We’re comfortable going on the road, especially on offense. Speaking for us, we do the exact same thing on the road as we do at home so we’re not uncomfortable at all.”
On how long it takes for out-of-state players to understand the importance of this rivalry:
“When they come here they know what it is. They will be ready. We talked about it at the beginning of the year."
Selection Sunday, a look at OU's All-Big 12 candidates and a potent rushing game in Tuesday's Sooner Report.
On if Oklahoma State is different schematically on defense this season:
"Subtly different in what they're doing, not a complete overhaul from what they've been. I think just as much as anything, on normal downs their corners are challenging the outside guys a little bit more."
On the potential of cold weather on Saturday:
"Yeah, it was really cold at K-State. All of those things will help us to play in the weather, and we practiced in the weather before Kansas State too so that helped us just get mentally prepared."
Redshirt freshman QB Trevor Knight answers questions from the media Tuesday in advance of OU's Bedlam matchup with OSU.

On if he was satisfied with his team's complete performance at Kansas State:
"Definitely. Just in all phases of the game we responded. Offensively, throughout the day we were consistent. The defense came up with some big stops; a turnover for a touchdown."
Coming off Saturday's 41-31 win at Kansas State, the Sooners now turn their attention to the Bedlam matchup on Dec. 7.

Colvin's toughness, Big 12 title opportunity and winning with Knight in Tuesday's Sooner Report.

On working with RB Brennan Clay against KSU:
"Anytime you rush for 200 yards, and then I added 82 or 84, it all starts up front. Those guys made big holes all day and we were just decisive with the football."
On the quarterback situation:
"I don't know where we'll be a week from today, but it gives you an opportunity to work both of those guys and see where they'll be."
On what he has learned since week one:
"If you play with technique and do your job then you will make a lot of plays. I'm much more comfortable."
On the offensive line maintaining its performance after injuries:
"It is that time of the year. The guys behind us know that once they get in, there shouldn't be any difference. They just need to fill in for the person that got hurt or who is banged up."
The Sooners got back on the winning track and are now 9-2 on the year. Find out what the world is saying about OU with Tuesday's Boomer Bytes.
On preparing for Oklahoma State:
"We've got to prepare, execute every play and perfect as best as we can to get ready for them."
On preparing the younger players for Oklahoma State:
"We do talk about the preparation that goes into the game. Usually what happens on Saturday is what happens at practice that week. You have to tell those young guys to pick up their stuff sometimes and get a little more serious, but these guys get it."
On how long it took him to realize the importance of Bedlam in the state of Oklahoma:
"I don’t think it takes very long. Rivalry games are for bragging rights and certainly I think this has escalated obviously with Oklahoma State and their consistency and them being relevant in the Big 12 race every year."
On his thoughts on OSU:
"They are a very good team. They are solid in the run game; they have a great quarterback, a great offensive line. They are a well-rounded group and if we go out there and take them lightly it’s not going to be a good day for us."
