SEC Men's Golf Championship
April 22-26 / 54 Holes and Match Play / St. Simons Island, Ga. / Sea Island Golf Club

NORMAN — Oklahoma men's golf is set to compete at the SEC Championship this week at the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The Sooners, pursuing their 20th conference title and fourth under head coach Ryan Hybl, tee off Wednesday morning.

The championship, which hosts 10 top-20 teams and 14 of the nation's top 50, begins with stroke play Wednesday through Friday featuring all 16 teams. The top eight teams after 54 holes advance to match play, with quarterfinals and semifinals scheduled for Saturday and the championship match set for Sunday. Match play rounds will be broadcast on SEC Network and SECN+.

One of the nation's premier programs over the past decade, Oklahoma has won 43 tournaments since the start of 2015, highlighted by the 2017 national championship. The Sooners have advanced to a program-record 14 consecutive NCAA Championships and have earned a top-10 national seed in each of the last seven seasons. Since the start of the 2021-22 campaign, OU leads all SEC programs with 20 stroke-play victories.

Hybl, Oklahoma's all-time winningest coach, has guided the Sooners to 50 tournament titles, a 2017 national championship and 14 straight NCAA Finals appearances. A 2022 Dave Williams National Coach of the Year and 2024 GCAA Hall of Fame inductee, Hybl has coached 17 Sooners to 34 All-America honors since taking over in 2009.

Oklahoma enters the week with one team victory this season, capturing the Ka'anapali Classic last fall with a program-record 63-under-par performance. The Sooners look to regain momentum following a spring stretch that featured six consecutive finishes of fifth or lower.

At last year's SEC Championship, OU placed fourth in stroke play to advance to match play behind Drew Goodman's runner-up individual finish before falling to Florida in the quarterfinals.

The Sooners' lineup includes All-American and Hogan Award watch list selection Ryder Cowan, All-SEC performer Jase Summy, 2025 freshman All-American Clark Van Gaalen, PJ Maybank III and Cameron Cheek. True freshman Coltrane Mittag will be OU's substitute at the championhip.

Admission is free. Spectators are encouraged to park along Avenue of the Oaks and remain mindful of players teeing off near the Plantation Course.

Live scoring will be available via Scoreboard by Clippd.

The championship match on Sunday will air live on SEC Network at 7:30 a.m. ET (6:30 a.m. CT), with Saturday's semifinals streaming on SEC+ at 1 p.m. ET (Noon CT
