Aaliyah Chavez collected national freshman of the year honors and joined Beers as a WBCA All-America regional finalist.
Beers, a senior and first-team All-SEC selection, was named a third-team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association and Sporting News. She also earned honorable mention All-America honors from the Associated Press and was selected as a WBCA All-America regional finalist.
Chavez, ESPN's National Freshman of the Year, was also named a WBCA All-America regional finalist, becoming one of just two freshmen nationally to earn the distinction, alongside Kansas' Jaliya Davis. She was also recognized by ESPN as the top freshman guard in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and added National Freshman of the Year honors from CBS Sports.
A finalist for the Wooden Award, Beers is Oklahoma's first player named to a first, second or third All-America team since Danielle Robinson's Associated Press second-team selection. She is also the program's first USBWA All-American since Courtney Paris in 2009.
A two-time first-team All-SEC selection, Beers is averaging 15.7 points on an SEC-best 61.5% shooting, along with 10.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She is the only player on the Wooden Award ballot, and one of just two players nationally, averaging at least 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. A finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award, Beers scored in double figures in 14 of Oklahoma's 16 conference games. Her 20 double-doubles rank sixth nationally and are the fifth most in a single season in program history.
Chavez, an All-SEC second-team and SEC All-Freshman selection, leads the 10th-ranked Sooners with 18.4 points per game, the highest average among qualified Power Five freshmen. She adds 4.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest and is one of just two freshmen nationally named a WBCA All-America regional finalist.
She joins UConn's Paige Bueckers as the only freshmen since 2009 to average at least 18.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while committing 3.0 turnovers or fewer. Chavez has recorded 12 games with 20 or more points, third most among true freshmen nationally, and her six 20-point performances against ranked opponents lead all freshmen. Against AP or WBCA-ranked teams, she averaged 19.1 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds while helping Oklahoma secure six ranked wins in 2025-26.
The Lubbock, Texas, native entered college as the No. 1 player in the class of 2025 and a consensus national player of the year. This season, she has appeared on multiple national award watch lists and tied an SEC record with eight Freshman of the Week honors.
Additionally, the pair were named to ESPN's list of the top-25 players in the NCAA Tournament with Beers ranked 13th and Chavez 19th and tops among freshmen.
No. 10 Oklahoma opens NCAA Tournament play Friday in Norman as a No. 4 seed, hosting Idaho at 9 p.m. CT inside Lloyd Noble Center. The game will air on ESPN, and the winner will advance to face either Michigan State or Colorado State on Sunday.
