NORMAN – Oklahoma women's golf travels to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the University of Texas Golf Club.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,473-yard course. Teams will play 36 holes Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT, followed by the final round Tuesday morning.
"This will be another good test for our team," head coach
Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. "We're looking forward to the challenge and continuing to build as the spring season goes on."
In their last outing, the Sooners finished sixth in a 14-team field at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
Savannah Barber and
Reagan Chaney led Oklahoma, each tying for 19th at 6-over, while Satongkan (Earn) Thiengsri added a top-30 finish. The Sooners posted rounds of 289-294-287 at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
"Our team showed a lot of patience in the final round last week," Drouin-Luttrell said. "We're looking to build on that and continue competing with confidence this week."
