NORMAN — No. 5/6 OU Softball continued its offensive onslaught by putting up 36 runs across a Saturday sweep of Sam Houston (12-7) and Alabama State (6-14). The Sooners combined for 10 home runs on the day, defeating Sam Houston, 13-3, and Alabama State, 23-3 Feb. 27.
Lexi McDaniel homered three times, while
Tia Milloy drove in seven runs with the help of two home runs.
OU has now won 12 games via run-rule this season, upping its season home run total to 72 through 18 games.

Kendall Wells and
Allyssa Parker drew consecutive walks and
Ella Parker roped an RBI single to center to give OU a 1-0 lead after the first.
Sam Houston took a 3-1 lead after a double and a two-run home run from Jordan Peno.
OU answered with four runs on two swings, taking a 5-3 lead in the third en route to 12 unanswered runs.
Gabbie Garcia singled in two to tie the game and McDaniel roped the eventual game-winning pinch hit two run home run to center.
The Sooners sent 13 batters to the plate, tallying seven hits in an eight-run fourth inning. Garcia and
Abby Dayton both tallied three run home runs while Milloy and
Ella Parker singled in two more.
Sydney Berzon pitched the final two outs for OU, while
Audrey Lowry went 4.1 innings in the win.

Crooked numbers in the first, third and fourth brought OU to a 20-run win in the night cap. The Sooners posted 17 hits, leaving only one runner on base as nine different batters posted at least one RBI.
The Sooners homered twice in the first, three times in the third and two times in the fourth.
Sydney Barker homered to dead center and Milloy hit her second grand slam of the season, giving OU a 6-0 lead after the first.
Alabama State hit its first of two home runs on the night, getting on the board in the second inning.
Oklahoma posted its second seven-hit inning of the season in the third, scoring nine. McDaniel and
Isabela Emerling went back-to-back to start the inning, which was finished by McDaniel's second home run in the frame.
Two walks, three singles, one double and home runs from
Chaney Helton and Milloy gave OU a 23-3 victory.
