LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma men's gymnastics redshirt senior
Fuzzy Benas and freshmen
Sasha Bogonosiuk and
Nathan Roman are set to compete at the USA Gymnastics Winter Cup on Saturday at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Benas, Bogonosiuk and Roman will be joined by future Sooner Hunter Simpson and alumnus Yul Moldauer at this weekend's competition.
Benas, a member of the U.S. Men's Senior National Team since Winter Cup 2024, will compete in his sixth career Winter Cup. Bogonosiuk and Roman, members of the U.S. Men's Senior Development Team, will each compete in their third career Winter Cup.
Last year, Benas placed fifth on vault and seventh on floor exercise. Bogonosiuk and Roman both competed in the senior men's competition as Sooner signees. Bogonosiuk finished seventh in the all-around, highlighted by a fourth-place finish on vault, seventh on parallel bars, ninth on floor exercise and 12th on high bar. Roman placed eighth on high bar and 14th on floor exercise.
Sooner signee Dante Reive prequalified as a member of the U.S. Men's Senior National Team but will not compete.
The gymnasts will take the floor Saturday at 6:15 p.m. for the senior men's competition.

The 2026 Winter Cup is a qualifying event to the 2026 U.S. Gymnastics Championships. The Winter Cup will also culminate in the selection of the Men's Senior National Team to be named following the competition.
