LAST TIME OUT
The Sooners created an early lead and despite a comeback from the Longhorns, OU stayed in front to defeat Texas, 9-8, and secure OU's first-ever three-game sweep of a Top 5 team in program history. Ella Parker hit her second home run in as many games, as did Gabbie Garcia, lifting the Oklahoma offense to another high-scoring effort. Sam Landry only allowed one hit in 3.2 innings of work to secure her 17th win of the season.

MILEAGE
After the series in Gainesville, Oklahoma will have traveled 2,594 miles in SEC play, the greatest number of miles traveled in league play since at least 2017. The Sooners are 15-3 in road games this year, having won two of three road SEC series this year.

HAWAII FIVE-0
Junior second baseman Ailana Agbayani is coming off her first SEC Player of the Week honor after hitting .750 (6-for-8) with a grand slam, three runs five RBIs and two walks. Agbayani tied a career high with five RBIs in OU's 7-6 win against No. 3/2 Texas Friday, April 25.

NELLYVILLE
Redshirt-freshman Nelly McEnroe-Marinas has been tearing the cover off the ball in conference play, leading the league with 11 home runs after hitting another two-run homer against Texas. Tuesday she was named SEC Freshman of the Week and was also tabbed to the NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 list.

NATIONAL NODS
Senior pitcher Sam Landry and sophomore outfielder Kasidi Pickering were both named to the USA Collegiate Softball Player of the Year Top 25 list Wednesday, April 30. Landry is 17-3 with a 1.95 ERA and a career high 13 complete games in 26 appearances. Three times she has been named SEC Player of the Week.

Pickering is leading the team with a .431 batting average as well as a staggering .862 slugging percentage. Pickering has drawn 44 walks this season and went on a 16-game hitting streak that included a stretch in which she reached safely in 15 consecutive plate appearances.

RANKED GAMES

COMEBACK KIDS
Oklahoma rebounded from consecutive 4-0 first inning deficits during Sunday's doubleheader against Mississippi State, turning around to win both. It's the only time OU has completed such a comeback in consecutive games since at least the 1997 season.

AND IT'S OUT OF THE PARK(ER)!
Sophomore Ella Parker is heating up over the past two weekends, having hit safely in six of the last seven games. She clubbed home runs in consecutive games against Texas and surpassed 100 career RBIs, runs and games started during the sweep of the Longhorns. She is hitting .392 on the year and .405 for her career on 122 hits in 111 games.

BALANCE IS KEY
One of the greatest assets of the OU offense this year has been its balance. Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, Gabbie Garcia and Kasidi Pickering have almost identical power numbers. Garcia and McEnroe-Marinas are tied for the team lead with 14 home runs, while Pickering has 13 to go with 44 RBIs. Garcia and McEnroe-Marinas sit at 43 and 45 RBIs respectively. Isabela Emerling is also into double-digits in the home run column, hitting 10 including a game-winning three-run home run against No. 15 Mississippi State. She provided the go-ahead run on a sac fly in game three against No. 3/2 Texas.

PERFORMING UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHTS
Nelly McEnroe-Marinas has hit 11 of her 14 home runs in SEC play, good for the conference lead. Additionally, she is second in SEC play in RBIs (25).She's had a multi-home run series against South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi State, and also homered against Alabama and Texas. In total she's homered against every SEC team OU has faced this season outside of Tennessee. She hit a pair of three-run homers against South Carolina in a 10-9 win, becoming the first Sooner to hit a pair of three-run homers in the same game since Lynnsie Elam did so against Iowa March 20, 2022.

BIG BATS
Oklahoma is second in the SEC in home runs (84), just one behind Florida (85), despite having played six less games than the Gators. OU has homered in 40 of 44 games this season and is coming off a five homer performance in a 9-6 win against No. 15 Mississippi State April 20. Of OU's 84 homers, 46 have been hit by a newcomer, while six different Sooners have had multi-home run games. Additionally, 12 different players have hit at least one home run.

OH ME OH MAYA
Sophomore Maya Bland had a week that she'll never forget, contributing with game-winning home runs in both of OU's wins against No. 18 Oklahoma State and No. 22 Alabama. Bland hit a go-ahead three-run home run against OSU in Oklahoma City before hitting a pinch hit two-run home run against Alabama April 12.

Oklahoma freshman have combined to hit 41 of Oklahoma's 90 home runs, paced by 14 from Gabbie Garcia and 14 from Nelly McEnroe-Marinas. Five different OU freshmen have hit at least two home runs.

The Sooners have a number of players in the top ten among active leaders in a variety of statistical categories, particularly between the arms of Isabella Smith and Sam Landry
