Feb. 10-12 / 54 Holes / Canóvanas, Puerto Rico / Grande Reserve Golf Club

NORMAN — No. 4 Oklahoma opens its spring season on Monday at the Puerto Rico Classic in Canóvanas at Grande Reserve Golf Club. The 54-hole tournament spans three days, with the individual champion earning an exemption into the PGA Tour's Puerto Rico Open. The field features four teams ranked inside the top 10 of the latest Clippd rankings.

The Sooners won the event in 2022 with a tournament-record score of 805 (-59) and defended their title in 2023 with an 834 (-30). Their -59 score in 2022 remains the best vs. par in program history for a standard event. Overall, OU has claimed two titles, four runner-up finishes, and two third-place finishes at the tournament, along with two individual medalists: Chris Gotterup (2022) and Quade Cummins (2020).

The 2025 PRC marks Oklahoma's seventh consecutive appearance, as the Sooners have opened their spring schedule at the event every year since 2018. OU has competed in the tournament 19 times, finishing fifth last season.

During the fall season, Oklahoma secured three team victories and posted a 61-5-1 record, finishing third in the only two events it didn't win. The Sooners' 61 wins led the nation, as head coach Ryan Hybl's squad claimed titles at the Valero Texas Collegiate, Ben Hogan Collegiate, and Ka'anapali Classic.

Head coach Ryan Hybl rolls out an experienced lineup that features five golfers who played double-digit rounds in the fall. Jase Summy takes the top bag, followed by All-American Drew Goodman, Ryder Cowan, Matthew Troutman and PJ Maybank III. Playing unattached as individuals, Jaxon Dowell returns to action along with Stephen Campbell Jr. and freshman Cameron Cheek
