BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas –
Kyren Washington won the high jump title with a personal-record clearance to highlight the second day of the SEC Indoor Championships hosted at the R.A. 'Murray' Fasken Indoor Track & Field. The women rose to first in team standings with 34 points and the men surged to third with 37.5.
The Sooners grabbed scores from two women's athletes, Kennedy Clark (2) and
Kassidy Gallagher (1), and four men's competitors,
Kyren Washington (10),
Trey Bartholomew (5),
Julian McCullough (4) and
Nicolas Bersier (2).
The high jump title came down to a jump off at 2.25m (7'4.50") between Washington and Ole Miss junior Arvesta Troupe. Washington bested the Rebel on his second attempt, with Troupe failing to clear the bar on all three tries. With this jump, he equaled the facility record and moved up to No. 3 in the NCAA in 2025. Washington now sits at No. 2 in OU indoor history, only behind former Sooner and Olympian Vernon Turner.
The men's team collected two more scores from Bartholomew and McCullough in the high jump, both leaping a personal-record 2.19m (7'2.25") to tie for the fourth-best clearance in Oklahoma history. Bartholomew finished fourth, respectively, and McCullough fifth.
Tyson Ritz also had a career day, grabbing a PR of 2.16m (7'1.00") for the 10th-best jump on OU's performance list.
In the women's weight throw, Clarke finished seventh with a personal-record toss of 20.73m (68'0.25") to add to the team total. Her mark improves her position at No. 5 in Oklahoma history. Gallagher followed in eighth, recording 20.61m (67'7.50").
Bersier posted seven career-best marks in the heptathlon, including his final score of 5,445, over the two days to finish seventh in the event. He moves to the No. 4 spot on OU's all-time performance list.
With a career-best time of 46.47,
Samuel Toili finished 10th in the 400-meter dash, the sixth-fastest time ever recorded by a Sooner indoors.
