NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team remained the No. 1 team in the nation for the seventh week in a row as the Sooners boast a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 197.730. This week marks the first time this season the rankings have been determined by NQS.
NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition.

The teams in the top five remained unchanged, while the order saw a shakeup. UCLA jumped from No. 5 to No. 2 (197.455) and LSU dropped from No. 2 to No. 3 (197.420). Utah remained at No. 4 (197.325) with Florida dropping from No. 3 to No. 5 (197.190).
On the events, the Sooners are ranked No. 1 on bars (49.505) and No. 2 on vault (49.385), beam (49.375) and floor (49.495).
Six Sooners earned a total of 20 individual rankings in the first week of NQS with at least one gymnast ranked in the top five on every event and in the all-around. Three Sooners hold top two rankings on three events and in the all-around.
After posting her fourth straight mark of 39.600 or better in the all-around,
Faith Torrez moved to No. 2 in the rankings with a 39.630 NQS.
Jordan Bowers is No. 3 (39.610) and
Lily Pederson is No. 7 (39.475). OU is the only school with three athletes in the top 10.
Addison Fatta appeared in the rankings for the first time with a 39.320 NQS to sit at No. 19.
On vault, Torrez holds the top spot with a 9.930 NQS after back-to-back scores of 9.975 on the event. Pederson is No. 13 (9.875), Bowers is No. 19 (9.860) and
Keira Wells is No. 21 (9.855).
Audrey Davis is the No. 1 ranked athlete on bars with a 9.945, followed by Bowers at No. 6 (9.905) and Pederson at No. 7 (9.900) for three athletes in the top 10 on the event. Torrez sits at No. 15 (9.880) and Fatta comes in at No. 19 (9.875).
On beam, Torrez is No. 4 (9.905), Bowers is No. 6 (9.900), Davis is No. 19 (9.865) and Fatta is No. 23 (9.860).
Bowers and Torrez are tied for No. 2 on floor (9.940), while Davis is No. 22 (9.880).
The Sooners will be back inside Lloyd Noble Center on Friday, Feb. 21, for a top five matchup with No. 5 Florida. The teams will battle it out on ESPN2 at 7:45 p.m. CT.
