NORMAN – Oklahoma women's golf head coach
Veronique Drouin-Luttrell announced Wednesday the signing of Florida standouts Ryan Donaldson and Valentine Marie Guertin OU's 2026 class.
"Ryan and Valentina represent everything we look for in a Sooner," Drouin-Luttrell said. "They are not only elite competitors but also exceptional students and leaders. Both bring national-level experience and a strong commitment to improving themselves and their teams. We're excited to welcome them to Norman."
Donaldson is a consensus top-100 player and one of the nation's top junior golfers. An eight-time Florida State Golf Association champion, her titles include the 2023 Tour Championship and the 2022 Junior Tour Under Armour World Championship. She tied for second at the 2025 Western Women's Junior Championship and reached the semifinals in match play.
The McAlpin, Fla., product, won the 2024 Jill Darr Invitational with a course and tournament record 62 (-10) and earned the 2025 Marion Miley Award from the Western Women's Golf Association for the organization's top player. She also holds the FSGA's lowest final-round scoring record with a 65 in the 13–15 age group, was named 2024 Player of the Year by the Lake City Reporter and is a two-time Florida Cup participant. A senior at Abeka Academy, she has recorded multiple top-15 finishes at the Florida state championships and will compete for a state title this week. A standout in the classroom as well as the course, Donaldson has earned honor roll recognition every year of high school and maintains a 4.0 GPA.
Guertin, from Boynton Beach, Fla., attends FAU High School, where she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and earned a spot on the President's Honor List each year. A 2024 Florida Tour Championship winner, she shot rounds of 72-65-72 to finish 7-under and as the only player in under par at the event. Guertin qualified for both the 124th U.S. Women's Amateur at Southern Hills and the U.S. Women's Four-Ball Championship at Oklahoma City Country Club in the same year. She helped lead FAU High to the Florida 1A State Championship and a third-place finish at the High School National Championship in Frisco, Texas. Away from competition, Guertin volunteers with First Tee – Palm Beaches, the St. Jude's Research Hospital Scramble for a Cure and Chip Inks Junior Golf Camp.
Oklahoma wrapped up its fall schedule with a third-place finish at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas, capping one of the program's best fall campaigns under Drouin-Luttrell. The Sooners will train through the winter before opening their spring season Feb. 2-4 at the Paradise Invitational.
