"Since their commitment last fall, these young women have developed a strong and genuine bond," Kindler said. "Individually, they are talented and inspired – but together, they are a force. Their personalities complement one another beautifully and their shared joy for the sport radiates through everything they do, casting a bright light on our program.
"Each class contributes something unique, and to me, this one embodies pure zeal. There's never a moment of silence when they're together; the energy they create is electric. They are passionate, expressive, and bold. They are zealous leaders, disciplined workers, and artistic souls."
This is the second year in a row that the Sooners have tabbed the No. 1 class in the nation. Four of the athletes are ranked in the top 10 by CollegeGymNews.com, with three in the top four.
"Each of these women has earned her stripes through grit, resilience and heart," Kindler continued. "They've stared down challenges and turned adversity into fuel. They've lived championship moments and carried the weight of expectation with grace. They know this sport at its very best and at its most demanding and they continue to rise with unwavering purpose. They have the spirit of the Sooners who have come before them, and they will carry the OU legacy forward."

Duke, a native of Yukon, Okla., is a level 10 gymnast out of Dynamo Gymnastics where she trains under Dennis Harrison. She joins former Sooner and three-time team national champion Alex Marks as gymnasts to join the Sooners from Dynamo.

Having grown up watching the Sooners, she now has the opportunity to inspire the next generation of Oklahomans."
