Women's Golf Set for Jim West Challenge

NORMAN — Oklahoma women's golf closes its fall slate at the Jim West Challenge, set for Oct. 19-20 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas.
The two-day, 54-hole event tees off Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CT with 36 holes, followed by Monday's final round where a team and individual champion will be crowned. ESPN+ will carry portions of the tournament live from Kissing Tree GC.
The 19th-ranked Sooners will compete in a 14-team field that features one other ranked team in No. 5 Texas A&M.
In their most recent outing, the Sooners finished runner-up at the Route 66 Invitational in Tulsa, highlighted by Savannah Barber's record-breaking win at 11-under 202 — the lowest 54-hole score from a medalist in program history. Gracie Mayo placed third at 7-under, and Reagan Chaney tied for 13th as Oklahoma posted a season-best 844 (-8), its top finish of the season.
At Kissing Tree, Oklahoma's lineup features Barber, who is the reigning SEC Golfer of the Week, along with Mayo, Chaney, Earn Thiengsri and Audrey Rischer. Raychel Nelke will compete as an unattached individual.
