Sooners Fall at No. 2 South Carolina

January 19, 2025 | Women's Basketball

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Oklahoma fell to No. 2 South Carolina 101-60 on Sunday on the road in SEC play.

The Sooners (15-4, 3-3 SEC) fell behind early and couldn't get back in the game against the defending SEC and national champions.

South Carolina took a 28-9 lead into the second quarter and led by 25 at the break. The Sooners never made one of their patented runs as South Carolina (18-1, 6-0 SEC) kept its foot on the gas to win its 68th straight game at Colonial Life Arena.

Raegan Beers led Oklahoma against South Carolina (18-1, 6-0 SEC), scoring 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds. The All-American center has scored in double figures 17 times this season. Skylar Vann added 13 points in her first double-figure game of conference play.

The Gamecocks shot 48.1% and the Sooners just 35.8%, OU's lowest shooting percentage of the season. The loss snapped a program-record-tying streak of 70-point games at 18, with both streaks coming under head coach Jennie Baranczyk

Oklahoma hosts Georgia (9-11, 1-5 SEC) next Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1:30 p.m. in Norman.
